Safety Tips and Guidelines

Fremont 4th of July PARADE Safety

The Fremont 4th of July Parade is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our participants, spectators and guests. Because the members of our committee and event planners are all very involved in our community we hold events such as in high regard for what they add to our day to day lives.

We encourage you to review our safety and security information below prior to arriving at our events.

Enhanced security measures will be in effect on the parade route. Fremont police officers will resolve problems quickly and remove from the scene anyone violating the law or disturbing the peace. In addition, police canine teams and members of outside and/or supporting law enforcement officers will be patrolling the parade route and all route access points.

The Fremont Police Department, supported by the Fremont 4th of July Parade Committee and City Officials, will close the Parade route early to vehicular traffic to enhance public safety measures. Route closures and activity to close the route will take effect beginning around 7:00 AM with full closure to through traffic by 9:00 AM on July 4. Expect the closure to last until 1:00 PM when the route is expected to be completely open to through traffic.

Residents and merchants hosting viewing parties or receiving deliveries during the proposed street closures must notify their guests or vendors to arrive prior to the 9:00 AM closure. Guests and vendors arriving after the closure may park in nearby areas that allow for unrestricted parking.

ANCILLARY EVENTS

Due to our permit process with the City of Fremont, we are unable to produce ancillary events or support other events occurring before, during or after our Parade.

NO BACKPACKS ALLOWED AT THE PARADE.
