Jan Giovannini-HillJan was one of the key leaders of the 2003 Fremont 4th of July Parade in the
Warm Springs District. This was the first year when the City of Fremont had
major budget cuts and needed to cancel their participation and funding of this
community project and it almost ended the parades entirely, but the greater area
wide citizens and community came together to take on the organization and
running and funding of this event as their own. Jan has been involved in many
Tri-City area groups and organizations for the last couple decades. Currently,
she still participates in Neighborhood Crime Watch, is a Block Captain in her
neighborhood, CERT member, Delegate and E-Board Rep to the CDP, and a CARE
Volunteer for FPD among others. She works at Cal State East Bay and has been
employed there nearly 39 years. Jan is married to Harold Hill, and they have
four grown children.
