Emcee - Kevin Wing
Kevin Wing is in his 14th year as emcee of the Fremont 4th of July Parade. He first began emceeing Fremont parades in 1997 with the Mission San Jose Bicentennial Parade. In 1999, Kevin was tapped to emcee the city's 4th of July Parade, something he has continued to do ever since.
The Fremont native grew up in the Mission San Jose District and graduated from Mission San Jose High School. Studying television news, he later graduated from Ohlone College and San Jose State University.
This year, Kevin celebrates 25 years in television news. He has spent nearly his entire TV career in the Bay Area, having worked as a reporter, producer, writer and assignment editor for several stations, including KTVU and KGO-TV. The two-time Emmy Award-winning journalist now works at KNTV/NBC Bay Area, where he has been since 2009.
Kevin is much involved with his church, St. Joseph Parish/Old Mission San Jose, in Fremont. He is also involved in various community activities.
Kevin lives in Danville, but Fremont will always be home for him.
