Get Involved!

We're busy preparing for this year's Parade, and need your help. Many volunteers and sponsors are still needed to make this year's event a success. For more information, click on the Volunteers and Sponsors links to learn how you can be a part of the parade.

This annual event is completely organized, financially supported and run by the greater Fremont area community and hundreds of volunteers on the front lines and behind the scenes. The City of Fremont does not support this parade in anyway, including Police and other Services, which is about 25% to over 30% of the budget and has been increasing a significant amount every year.

We Need Your Support!

We welcome business, corporate and/or individual contributions at any time. For donations, checks can be made payable and sent to Fremont Fourth of July Parade, P.O. Box 1372, Fremont, CA 94538. You can also do a donation on line. Contributions are tax deductible. Go to our sponsor page to see what you can do to support this event.

Our History

In 1999, the City of Fremont began hosting an annual 4th of July Parade in each of the original five historic township areas that came together in 1956 to form the ‘City of Fremont’. In 2001, budget cutbacks forced the City to step aside in the funding and organization of these annual parades; but the citizens and greater Fremont area volunteers came together to keep the tradition going. The parade now rotates between five of the famous districts of Fremont.

We invite you to mark your calendars now for July 4th at 10:00 a.m. to join the featured District. We're bringing the entire area and neighboring cities together for a special fun, FREE, and family friendly event for the entire community. This year's mile long parade loop returns to Downtown Fremont, starting at the Library, then on to Paseo Padre Parkway, and ending on Liberty Street.

The Parade features marching bands, floats, equestrian units, balloons, and unique hometown entries; as well as, some surprise and out-of-town entries.

The Fremont 4th of July Parade Committee is a non-profit organization who plans the parade each year with over 150 volunteers.  We rely on financial donations from individuals, businesses and community groups to put on this volunteer run major event each year that attracts tens of thousands of spectators along beautiful tree lined streets.

Entries, Sponsorships and contributions are currently being sought. Any remaining funds are carried over from one year to the next (or one District to the next). Any contributions are now tax deductible as allowed by law (tax ID is 26-2202719)
